“I was loading my car up with my camera gear when my son came outside and asked what I was doing. (He’s three.)

I told him I was going into Spearfish Canyon to photograph for a client. He told me he wanted to go on an adventure with me, so I asked my nanny if she was open to joining me.  I loaded my car up with gear, my son, Nanny, and dog and all ventured into the canyon.

Our nanny and I conversed as Hendrix sat in the back chatting with us as he peered out the window at the gorgeous view.  At one of my stops, I spotted a couple mountain goats hundreds of feet above on the cliffs.  One was napping in the sun and another got up and took a few steps towards the edge.  Luckily, I already have my 200-600mm lens on and tripod set up, so I quickly photographed him peering out at the world down below.”
