Scott’s 2025 Watch Release
I remember the first watch that was ever released in April 2016 of a painting called "Art and Sole". The watch face depicted an artist's paint-covered Converse shoes encased in a matte and polished black stainless steel band, embellished with four precious stones, and custom paintbrush hands.
Our collectors jumped at the opportunity to collect Scott's wearable creation and from there, Scott and designer, Steve Soffa decided to come out with a women's watch to see if the reaction was the same.

Collaboration with Cuervo y Sobrinos
Then, in 2019, Scott and I took a trip to Florida to design more watches with a Cuban watch company, Cuervo y Sobrinos. We arrived with a presentation of digital renderings of Scott's new watch concepts.
To see how they were received by their clientele, we started with "The Felix", a watch Scott drew up that reminded us all of Felix the Cat.
More on the full story of Cuervo and Felix, here.

Cuervo has designed a handful of Scott's watches and they've all either sold out or we only have a few remaining.
Now, fast forward to 2024 where Scott and Steve Soffa collaborate to come out with the new collection you're about to experience.
Starting A New Collection
In August 2024, Scott flew to Florida to sit down with Steve to initiate the next watches.
The two designs he came with were called "Drive Time" and "Honor".
Drive Time was inspired by Scott's annual visit to the La Jolla Concours d'Elegance where he paints the event painting each year. While he was in the La Jolla Cove admiring vintage cars, he came across a '57 Morgan. As he was peering inside the car, he noticed a unique dashboard which inspired the look of this watch.
Honor was created in Scott's studio in early 2024. He already came out with "We the People", a Patriotic watch from his painting and he wanted to continue the theme with something more elegant.

The Design Process
After Scott and Steve said their goodbyes, Steve took the sketches and began digital renderings with measurements so they could then become a mold.

Once the molds were complete, it was time for Steve to start reaching out to different factories to start manufacturing.
Each piece of the watches were handmade and designed specifically for "Drive Time" and "Honor".

When I called Steve for an interview, he shared, "it has taken me decades to build these relationships with my manufacturers and I only use the best in the world. These watches were designed from eight factories. The face, the crown, the band, the hands, the list goes on."

As the months went by, Scott would get progress photos as each piece was made.
It was exciting watching them come together, especially the watch faces to see the intricacies. This timely process ensured that these would be as high quality as we could make them.

Surprisingly enough, "Drive Time's" leather band required a lot of planning since Scott wanted Italian leather. The factory had a higher minimum than we hoped, so the overall cost to make them was much higher than expected.
But hey, can't cut corners!

As the final pieces were shipped from Switzerland, Steve began assembling the timepieces and voila!
"Drive Time"
Scott excitedly shared, "Drive Time is my favorite watch I've designed so far. I love the bar across the face. Its uniqueness, fit and finish are amazing! The presentation is fantastic. Everything from the crown to the custom box and Italian leather band."
"Honor"
Scott shared how happy he was with the final design of Honor.
"It's Patriotic, but understated and elegant. It's something you could wear at any time of day, you can dress it up or dress it down."
