Photographed at Frawley Ranch, a historical ranch in Lawrence County near Spearfish, South Dakota.

Buffalo Sink represents what the late 1870’s must have looked like in the Black Hills with no structures highways or fences. These animals are doing their best to avoid the cold winter winds of early December 2007 by lounging in the “sink.”
