“While I was on my first hunting trip with my boyfriend in September 2024, I had plenty of time outside with my camera in a new landscape. Northern New Mexico is not what I expected being high in the mountains.

Since Pat filled his elk tag the first night, we had plenty of time to mess around outside.

Like always, I found myself being drawn to the dead trees and their eleborate, smooth branches, so I captured this particular tree and decided it would look best black and white as the crooked branches pierce the cloudless sky.”
