Horses have the good sense to turn their butts to the wind for protection in a storm. These horses on the Northwestern side of the road near St Onge, SD, are being pelted with 35 MPH plus winds and snow, while less than a quarter of a mile behind the camera blue skies prevail. Such is the nature of weather in the high plains of South Dakota.
