“One January morning in 2023, I set up my tripod at the end of Main Street in Deadwood to capture the heavy snow.

As I patiently stood outside my car, I noticed a man unloading suitcases from his trunk. I prayed that he’d cross the street to add to the vibe of the scene in front of me. Within seconds, he was crossing the street so I could capture the perfect winter photo of our sleepy Wild Western town!

I love the way the snow falling adds texture and the colors of the buildings give just enough color to a rather monochromatic image.”
