Whispers – Pottery

This Oriental inspired pottery was crafted and hand-painted by local artist, Barb Hallberg of Spirit of Dakota.  She creates every piece at home in a kiln that she hangs from a tree in her backyard.

She prides herself in her raku pottery and we are honored to have it on display in our Gallery.

Raku: a process in which work is removed from the kiln at bright red heat and subjected to post-firing reduction (or smoking) by being placed in containers of combustible materials.
